As part of the Climate Group’s Industry Transition Platform project, we invite you as a member of the Under2 Coalition to join us for a virtual site visit to the LEILAC (Low Emissions Intensity Lime And Cement) project in Lixhe, Belgium.

LEILAC is a European Union Horizon 2020 (H2020) research and innovation pilot project. LEILAC is developing a breakthrough carbon capture technology that will enable both cement and lime industries to reduce their carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions dramatically without significant energy or capital penalty.

During the 60-minute virtual site visit, technical experts will provide an overview of the innovative carbon capture. Following the brief technical introduction to LEILAC, drone and site footage will be shared as you “walk” through the site, with the project team providing explanations to attendees. Lastly, a Q&A period will allow you to ask a panel of experts and stakeholders any questions that you might have about the LEILAC Project.
