A French company owned by a family European big group which is the Europe’s biggest provider of flexographic plates across Europe and Africa seeks an industrial partner to develop a process to recycle used flexographic printing plates.

The aim of the company is consequently to develop with an industrial partner a technological process to expedite a renewable and sustainable way to eliminate this waste by focusing on total reuse.

The values of the French company rely on developing its business in a sustainable manner and maintaining a commitment to the protection of the environment and being socially responsible.
The estimated volume of the used flexographic plates in France reaches around 1,000 Tons a year and is currently incinerated to produce energy or send to landfill.

The used flexographic plates are made up of mainly polymers (PET, SBS acrylic, styrene/acrylic, amide etc..) but also of acrylate monomers, filters (silica, alumina) and photo initiators).

With the goal of setting a long-lasting collaboration, the company is looking for a company:

– With a strong expertise in recycling plastics or chemical components

– Open to work and co-develop innovative solutions for recycling the used flexographic plates
